Mouth of the Piave- Mort Lagoon-Duna Verde-Porto Santa Margherita-Caorle
A route that leads to the discovery of the Riviera, between the mouths of the Piave and Livenza Rivers, passing through the picturesque Mort Lagoon and as far as the old town centre of Caorle. The itinerary follows cycle paths and roads with little traffic. It starts at the mouth of the Piave River, then enters the coolness of Eraclea pine forest and follows a long straight stretch that leads to Duna Verde, a garden-city hamlet in the municipality Caorle. It is possible to stop in the furnished park adjacent to the route, and then resume pedalling as far as Porto Santa Margherita, a town with a highly nautical vocation. After crossing Saetta Bridge you reach Caorle, where it is worth visiting the old town centre. Here you can breathe in the same atmosphere as Venice, with its calli, campielli, important historical monuments and ancient fishing traditions.
