Caorle-Falconera-Vallevecchia
An enchanting cycle route, which also includes a bike+boat section. For a total immersion in the fabulous lagoon environment that distinguishes Caorle, in an area naturally designed by the mouths of the two “waterways” of the Lemene and Livenza Rivers. Departure from the old town centre of Caorle, to the church of the Madonna dell’Angelo. From here, we continue along the seafront and take the Litoranea Veneta as far as Falconera Island, where you can admire the casoni, the typical rural buildings with thatched roofs, used by fishermen as a refuge during their night-time fishing trips. We then cycle along the banks of Revedoli Canal as far as the pier, where you will embark for Vallevecchia. Thanks to the wealth of the lagoon fauna, the crossing is an unmissable experience for birdwatchers.
Vallevecchia, an island whose sandy coastline still retains its natural integrity, has several well-marked inland cycle paths.
