Bibione-Valgrande
An immersive natural itinerary in the Valgrande, an immense and uncontaminated fishing valley, covering an area of 360 hectares. A place where human intervention and the natural environment live in perfect harmony, a paradise of biodiversity where you can admire, amongst others, pink flamingos, mallards, grey herons, swans and Hermann’s tortoises. A ride through silent landscapes that are home to an incredible variety of animal species, amid black pines, century-old holm oaks and marsh gentians, in a labyrinth of sandbanks, shallows and reeds. In the reserve, you can also visit the remains of a Roman dwelling, where you can still admire some fragments of the mosaic flooring. The presence of a well-preserved ancient fossil anthill, which is over two metres high, is curious. Visitors should remember that Valgrande is private property and in order to access it, it is necessary to sign up for guided excursions.
